Normandy 1944 - Big Chain of Command table layout

A view to the west of the table that will be playing on this weekend

One of the game systems that has very much taken off with a vengeance at the NWS in recent months has been the excellent Chain of Command from the Too Fat Lardies.  The system itself plays wonderfully well and we thought it was time to give the larger system Big Chain of Command a good go!

A view of from the east showing the village church and the old farm on the outskirts

The farm yard may have a few less of its livestock inhabitants after the battle.

One of the Allied objectives will be this bridge

A view down the length of table showing the terrain the opposing forces will need to cope with.

The game will involve four German platoons incorporating a Stug platoon for the Germans alongside their three Panzer Grenadier platoons up against two US Airborne platoons, a Canadian platoon and a British Infantry platoon supported by a troop of Churchill's.

There will be a total of eight players as well as Big Stan to help umpire our first venture into Big CoC.
