Prussian Grenadiers 1806 Jena

Elite Miniatures early Prussians on the basing table

As most of you who regularly follow this blog are aware, I am building a force of Elite Miniature figures to be able to fight battles during the period often referred to as Napoleons "Glory Years".  That is of course the wonderful 1805-07 period which saw the armies of the First Empire take on the Russians, Austrians and Prussians regularly and most often, with legendary success.

The Russians are almost complete, at least the amount that I am going to paint, have painted and base up.  The final muster has a few more units to be added but is 95% complete and will be the subject of a total muster post at another time.

The Austrians for this period have been quietly being added to and I can happily say they have started to come on very nicely.  Once again, all Elite Miniatures (well nearly all), in resplendent early uniforms complete with leather helmet etc.  They will have a muster sometime in the next few months as well.

The next step is to add some skirmish bases for the Prussians.  The uniforms for the light troops in this period are lovely and I have a good friend preparing to paint me up a few for the collection in coming weeks.
