What I did during the game break...

Russian limber team makes its way across the bridge spanning the Flossgarten
As I mentioned in previous posts, one of the great advantages of being able to use a Wargames table in a dedicated space is obviously leaving games in situ to allow a gentlemanly pace of play. No looking at the clock and seeing it’s almost closing time and the old “lets all charge!”.

Another important aspect of leaving the table set up is inspiration. The kick up the backside to get often stalled projects out of storage, based and on the field.

Old Glory Russian ammunition cart

The second infantry cart prepares to resupply the front line

Russian Artillery Cassion once again from Old Glory

Prussian Command from Wargames Foundry. Perfect to direct the Prussian batteries independent command

Properly attired  post 1812 Front Rank ADC’s. The others were Elite Miniatures for my 1805-07 collection
There was also the chance to get out a few vignettes that I had not had on the field for a while.

French High Command - Marshall MacDonald and friends

Perry Blacksmith set - an old favourite
Hopefully the game gets through to its conclusion all things being equal with a great French victory! Let’s see what the Russians have planned.

    1. Hi Stew - yes its always a great idea to be able to p;ace some strategic vignettes around the table. The flotsam of battle. I have been so tempted for so long to grab some of the Perry Medic sets however I have the same in old Hinchcliffe which are also full of charm, that deserve to be painted first after having waited so long.

Ill get to, maybe even sooner than we all thought given whats going on.

I hope you and the family are well stateside.
