Elite Miniatures Peninsular British from the brush of talented brush of Nathan Vinson |
As the new year turns over it is a great time to reinvigorate the Napoleonic Peninsular project with another famous unit of the Light Division. The 52nd was a versatile light infantry unit that served well in Holland, Spain and Portugal, France and at Waterloo. These figures are from the wonderful range of figures from the talented Peter Moreby of Elite Miniatures in the UK. His man in the antipodes is the very well known and talented Nathan Vinson who represents the range superbly.

Beautiful GMB Flags from the wonderful Grahame Black - great guy and great service! |
Man I love elite figures, great painting. Looks like from a magazine cover!
ReplyDeleteI had s huge amount of these at one point but traded them away as I just don't have the space to store 28mm armies.
brilliant!!!
Thanks so much Paul - love Elites!
DeleteWonderful looking troops and terrain. As noted by Paul, worthy of a cover photo.
ReplyDeleteCheers Dean - the animation of the sculpts is what sets apart Aelite and Connoisseur in my opinion. They look so good together in a regiment if this size and just look so good en masse.
DeleteAbsolutely smashing. Nathan's a talented lad and no mistake. His ACW and Colonial games are seriously good eye candy too.
ReplyDeleteThanks Millsy, yes Nathan is excellent and when he does a commission for me it is well worth the wait. How great is his blog???? Simply stunning IMHO the best I have ever seen in scope of games and quality. He is always linked in my sidebar and his updates are eagerly awaited.
DeleteGreat looking version of a fine unit, Carlo. Thanks for sharing them with us!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely my pleasure Peter.
DeleteSuperb! Or rather, cracking unit, what.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mark - they look mighty fine on the table and the +1 for British giving in line in General De Brigade is always helpful.
DeleteAnother great looking unit Carlo. Love the 'animated' figures.
ReplyDeleteThanks Fish, appreciate a busy nan like you popping over. You are a bit overdue down at the club again mate!
DeleteLovely just lovely Carlo
ReplyDeleteThanks Nathan, always love putting your brushwork up mate.

Thanks John - the photographic skills are slowly reaching a level of childish competence!
DeleteA superb looking unit, enhanced with a great backdrop.
ReplyDeleteCheers Pat - hope to have them out on Sunday under my sons command as I get my French and Italian Peninsular troops out!

Thanks Chris - love your blog by the way mate and will add it my sidebar this weekend. People NEED to see your wonderful work!
DeleteCarlo, very impressed by your figures and terrain. Where are the buildings from please ?
ReplyDeleteHi J - The buildings are from the old glory pirates range long discontinued unfortunately. I remember thinking at the time it would be perfect for my plans for the Peninsular. Thanks for your kind comments.
