Marlburian Black Powder - great to get the Dutch out again!
A few weeks ago we had a great opportunity to play a Black Powder Marlburian battle at the club. 1250 points aside and an encounter seeing the heroes of Europe, my Dutch, taking on the Bavarian and German state upstarts.

Nice one. Didn't know you did this period.
ReplyDeleteThanks Greg - very much enjoy the WSS and we have some great games at the club with them.
DeleteLovely big battle!
ReplyDelete:-)
Thankyou very much LEZ.
DeleteNice looking game- one of my all-time favourite periods. Some of the figures look familiar! Do you think Black Powder works well for this- I've never used it for WSS.
ReplyDeleteCheers John for your knd comments. I’ve only played in BP games for ECW and Marlburian as my Napoleonic riles of choice are GdA by Dave Brown. I think the rules are fantastic for this period and the games we play always are fast moving and enjoyable.
DeleteBeautiful armies Carlo; A bit short on narrative, though! :-)
ReplyDeleteI know Peter and I promise to be better next time 😉. I have been flat out recently getting a few hints sorted but will come back and add a few lines to the post ASAP.
DeleteWhy distract from the pics with boring narrative?
ReplyDeleteI might have to try this avant-garde style of posting for myself. 😀
Great looking battle lines.
