Grenadiers a Cheval of the Imperial Guard

Front Rank, soon to be Gripping Beast, French Guard Cavalry

Quick post to show what we Old Schoolers call a Heavy Cavalry regiment. Forty figures strong and ready for some mischief!

  1. Impressive Regiment - forty strong heavies always impress.
Are GB buying Front Rank or am I missing something here?
    Best wishes,

    1. I find falling down in front and covering my head with my hands to be somewhat ineffective Greg.

    1. It always looks the part Stokes - a bit better than units of six etc. however each to their own plan in terms of budgets, space and the like. It certainly works for me.

  8. From a practical standpoint, I much prefer smaller units... but good gracious, man, these fellows are stupendous! :-)

    1. Absolutely understand your perspective on that Peter and I’m considering a smaller ratio for GdA small, standard and large units from a similar practicality perspective. Wait hill I play on those 24” foot tables😅😂

  9. There are not many manufacturers, in any scale, who do the Big Heels, Gods, Giants as I'd like to see them done. These Front Rank are the exception that proves the general 'rule'. These do look like something that Lepic would be happy to command!
