Brilliant figure and the animation in his fall is perfect |
Nothing like a wargame in progress to get the juices flowing and keep the small projects ticking over.
This week sees a couple of General D'Armee casualty bases which will be in use for the French Heavy cavalry regiments currently on the table. Specifically they are the Perry casualty figures which are expertly designed and sculpted by the Perry Brothers.
These have been mounted on the favoured Pyjama dial from Warbases, though this is the larger 50mmm version. They have already been gloss varnished for protection from wargamers hands (notorious tools of destruction that they are), as well as random and enthusiastic dice throwers!
As always they will be Dulcoted, flocked, and reaing for action next weekend.
A very interesting solution. Great!
ReplyDeleteCheers for that A - thought they would be more useful as casualty markers.
DeleteVery nice indeed
ReplyDeleteCheers Paul and I should have them finished by tomorrow.
DeleteExcellent markers, Carlo!
ReplyDeleteThan you Serguiss
DeleteLovely work and a good idea!
ReplyDeleteBest Iain
Thank you very much Iain. I do have the very occasional one...
DeleteNicely done, and great way to show them often on tabletop.
ReplyDeleteCheers P. Great use of a fantastic figure from the Perry’s.
DeleteThe mounted ones are very effective used this way, well done. I wish there was a wider range similar in 28mm SYW, I do find I have to scratch around a bit for suitable casualty figures for the heavy cavalry. Chris
ReplyDeleteThat’s a pretty interesting point Chris as I don’t think I can remember seeing any mounted SYW figures as casualties. Perhaps Front Rank with their occasional bareheaded figure with bandages.
DeleteNice idea, looks great :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Mark
DeleteYou know I like these markers! 😀
ReplyDeleteI have found that my hands are the most dangerous to my own figures. Especially after I have just gotten the paint job juuuust right: that’s when I’ll drop them in paint!
Me too Stew and on more than one occasion. I actually now try and pre-position my painting pallet, tray of pva white glue etc. just for those reasons! Too many hard learnt lessons.
