The French assault a Russian foot battery |
A great fun game which saw the glorious French 7th Hussars tout a Russian cavalry brigade and the mighty 33rd Ligne take on the battery seen in the photograph above.
Steve’s Russians always look great and he plays them with a passion and stoutness which is perfect for their abilities on the field. |
The 7th see off the enemy cavalry |
Once again blogger has gotten me again with photos out of sequence but what can you?
In any case, it looks like a good game. Reminds me too of the photographs used to illustrate the venerable title Napoleonic Wargaming for Fun by Paddy Griffith.

Hi Stokes and thanks again for your kind comments. It certainly has remained a Spartan style terrain table whilst we rekindle our knowledge of the rules that’s for sure.
DeleteA nice looking game Carlo...
ReplyDeleteIt does indeed have a bit of an old school style about it.
All the best. Aly
Thank you Aly
DeleteI’ve started uploading my pics one at a time to make sure that they stay in order but it can be a pain. I wonder also if it matters what you title the picture.
ReplyDeleteBut in any case it looks like a good time. I’m jealous that you’re getting games in at the club. 😀
We have been most fortunate Stew.
DeleteAs Aly said it has that old school charm that many of us love for a change, glad you enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteThanks Chris and your kind comments are always most appreciated.
