Prussian and Saxon 1806 Hussars on the workbench

Elite Miniatures Prussian Hussars Regiment N.11 Von Billa ready for some final touches

The1806 Prussians and Saxons continue to be a focus for me in my limited hobby time upstairs at the moment. As mentioned in the last post I acquired a beautifully painted Prussian force from JM in the US and it perfectly compliments my existing and planned

Elite Miniatures Saxon Hussars to the fore and FG Miniz Hussars depicting
Regiment No.5 Von Pritwitz to the rear. Beautiful figures so well painted by JM

Two more Hussar Regiments here - at the front Regiment No.1 Gettkandt and to
the rear Regiment No.8 Von Boucher

These will be added to the Prussian Towarczy Lancers to give the Prussian and Saxon army a total of six light cavalry regiments.  That will most certainly complete the light cavalry contingent and I will then focus on the heavier cavalry such as Dragoons and Cuirassiers.  I will aim to have all of these based by the end of August and then I can work on the next Prussian infantry division which is also awaiting to be based.

I do have two Elite Miniatures Saxon Musketeers battalions on the painting bench now well past their two year anniversary of partial completion. In the last few weeks there has been almost a warp speed advancement of their completion- which really means that one battalion is maybe 65% complete.

Yayyyy!

Elite 1806 Prussian reinforcements

These lads are all waiting for some more help to take on the French

Lovely looking Prussians with a couple of lovely Doug Mason special Saxon Heavy Cavalry
regiments rubbing shoulders with them on the shelf

Some infantry and Command stands

Just a quick post to show that the 28mm 1805-07 Glory Years collection has continued to be worked on during recent play testing and 18mm club games.  Those who have followed various posts know that this is a period I enjoy very much and I have looked to use Elite Miniatures figures as much as possible.

I’ve recently acquired a beautiful collection of 1806 Prussians figures from a super chap in the United States (more of that in a post once they’ve been based) and thought I’d add some more artillerists and guns for a few more batteries.  I had also commissioned a regiment of Hussars, well the troopers and officers at least, with the horses and some additional trumpeters being finished off by myself.

The Hussars before some highlights and basing

Still a way to go on these guns

Added a few more artillerists to match up with those from the US and my
existing collection that are on the shelves

Love those Early Prussian Horse Artillery

I’ll look to get these all based up in the next few weeks.
