Grenadiers a Cheval of the Imperial Guard
Front Rank, soon to be Gripping Beast, French Guard Cavalry
Quick post to show what we Old Schoolers call a Heavy Cavalry regiment. Forty figures strong and ready for some mischief!
It always looks the part Stokes - a bit better than units of six etc. however each to their own plan in terms of budgets, space and the like. It certainly works for me.
Thanks Chris. No these are Front Rank which I do have a fair amount of actually. I have been thinking recently of having a photo shoot simply to record and note all the units I have in the collection one day. I also have quite a few Connoisseur and Perry Miniatures. I may have a problem with collecting…
Absolutely understand your perspective on that Peter and I’m considering a smaller ratio for GdA small, standard and large units from a similar practicality perspective. Wait hill I play on those 24” foot tables😅😂
There are not many manufacturers, in any scale, who do the Big Heels, Gods, Giants as I'd like to see them done. These Front Rank are the exception that proves the general 'rule'. These do look like something that Lepic would be happy to command! Regards, James
"Big Boots!"
ReplyDeleteIn name and attitude P!
DeleteImpressive Regiment - forty strong heavies always impress.
ReplyDeleteAre GB buying Front Rank or am I missing something here?
Best wishes,
Jeremy
That’s right Jeremy - on their website.
DeleteMy Gd man - how does one stop them?
ReplyDeleteI find falling down in front and covering my head with my hands to be somewhat ineffective Greg.
DeleteNow THAT'S a Regiment!! Very nice Carlo!
ReplyDeleteCheers for that JD.
DeleteCoor blimey - that's real
ReplyDeleteLots of lead there that’s for sure.
DeleteYES!!! Nothing like a really large regiment of cavalry.
ReplyDeleteBest Regards,
Stokes

Love anytime I can see a Dick Emery reference in wargaming. Should be more of it Chris!
DeleteBeautiful! I hope you have a large table! Not Elite Miniatures? LOL

DeleteOne of us? Surely not! :-)
We need to reach out at some stage Peter…maybe some of your fellow health professionals can help us all😅😂🤣
DeleteGood grief that's an enormous unit! Great stuff :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Mark
DeleteFrom a practical standpoint, I much prefer smaller units... but good gracious, man, these fellows are stupendous! :-)

Great summation Fish. Even the the General look of superiority of these lads come across in the sculpts.
