Just a quick post to show that the 28mm 1805-07 Glory Years collection has continued to be worked on during recent play testing and 18mm club games. Those who have followed various posts know that this is a period I enjoy very much and I have looked to use Elite Miniatures figures as much as possible.
I’ve recently acquired a beautiful collection of 1806 Prussians figures from a super chap in the United States (more of that in a post once they’ve been based) and thought I’d add some more artillerists and guns for a few more batteries. I had also commissioned a regiment of Hussars, well the troopers and officers at least, with the horses and some additional trumpeters being finished off by myself.

ReplyDeleteThanks Kerry for your kind comments. In GDA2 they are somewhat limited by command, potential ADC availability and regimental linear doctrines however the troops themselves are pretty solid. Looking forward to giving them a good tun.

Thank you so much Aly. I very much enjoy the earlier period of the Napoleonic Wars and this particular version of the Prussian army is do very beautiful.
DeleteA great looking army Carlo and all those artillery pieces! The Prussians are probably the least colourful of the armies in the Napoleonic wars but these look fantastic, especially the hussars.

The early Prussians are actually quite lovely, especially the cavalry but also the Grenadiers, fusiliers etc. I’ll post a few to show what they can look like with some unit selection. Otherwise, as you say, there’s a hell of a lot of deep Prussian blue😉
